Linda is the Head of Research Services at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, a public urban R1 research university. Linda leads initiatives to support UWM’s overall research environment through advanced library services, collections and facilities. Previously Linda was Associate Professor of Library Instructional Services at the University of Illinois at Springfield and Assistant Professor/Assistant Documents Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Linda currently serves as Councilor at Large for the American Library Association; she previously served as Director at Large for the Association of College and Research Libraries and as President of the Illinois Association of College and Research Libraries. Linda’s professional research interests include information literacy and graduate education, and documenting the value of academic libraries.
