Anne Craig

Since July of 2016, Anne Craig has had the privilege of serving as the Senior Director at CARLI, the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois, a unit of the University of Illinois System. CARLI members include 128 academic and research libraries ranging in size and scope from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to small, one-person libraries, and special research libraries like the Newberry Library and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. In October 2018, CARLI began work on a $250,000 Institute of Museum and Library Services, Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant, “CARLI Counts: Analytics and Advocacy for Service Development.” Prior to July 2016, Anne was the Director of the Illinois State Library for 11 years under Secretary of State Jesse White; she began at the ISL as a Reference Librarian in 1989.
